Plot
Skeleton Closet is a series of short comics that follow a little girl named Shilou as she traverses through a bizarre, never ending house filled with other wordly rooms, monsters, creatures, and danger. Accompanying her on her adventures is her doll Rebby 'Rebecca' and a strange dog named Marley as she meets the other residents of The House.
The House
The House is a never ending, run down Victorian style house that has endless rooms which contains anomalies, horrors, and other beings and structures of terror. There is no exit from the house via structurally or death as the maze only respawns individuals in other, various locations in the house after unfortunate departures. No one knows where The House is located or if it even exists on the realm of reality or life.
The rooms within The House seem to have their own micro-worlds settled within, but these worlds are still trapped with viewable walls, ceilings, and fixtures. These rooms and many of their inhabitants do not interact with the world outside of their room, but some inhabitants such as Vanta and Shilou have been known to aimlessly wander about, while others such as The Head Farmer will stay relatively close to their room, but still leave out for one reason or another.
On top of the endless maze, The House can also rebuild itself and fix damage that others do to it.There is also no way to break into rooms unless using the door. There will always be a limit with how far you can go through the walls, floors, and ceiling.
The Reaper is the only being with the power to free others from The House permanently with the use of her scythe that she always carries. Its unknown as to how she gained this ability or who or what gave it to her, but she's the only one with it and is duty bound to free very specific beings from the Houses grasp, though it's unknown as to what the reasoning is behind these choices.
Each and every inhabitant within The House has their own room. Some stay within these rooms while others do not. Terms to know for these residents are:
